Be Grateful… Be Safe… Be Happy and SHOP SMALL!!!

Dear Nancy,
Happy Thanksgiving week! My cup runneth over with gratitude for so much at this time of year- a job I love, a staff that is SO creative and hardworking, my bountiful gardens, the beauty that surrounds me every day, and the Natureworks community that has been created over the past 31 years. And here we go again, diving head first into the holiday season.
The shop is filled with beautiful Thanksgiving arrangements, fresh and dried flowers, and aromatic fresh greenery. Everyone exclaims “It  smells so good in here!” when they walk through the door. Then I see them breath a sigh of relief, relax, and settle into exploring and browsing. We pack a lot into this tiny little store. Every square inch, from the ceiling to the walls, is adorned with unique and naturalistic gift items.
Look at those beautiful flowers, fresh and dried!
Outside it is so festive! The first of our fresh cut, premium, CT grown fir trees have arrived. Wreaths and swags are beginning to cover the walls. Boughs and branches and cones fill the bins. You don’t have to ask- naturally we are CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day. When we reopen, we will be celebrating for THREE DAYS. Green Friday kicks it off, with Santa here from 10:30-3:00. No need to get up early, we are open our regular hours (9-5) and just for showing up you get a $5 gift card and you will be entered to win a $50  Natureworks gift certificate. Saturday isSmall Business Saturday. We will be serving delicious locally made donuts and organic coffee all day. Come and celebrate our small, local business and others in our community.Chocolate Sunday is next. It’s a simple concept- you come, you shop, you eat chocolate.
Our new twig lights make evening shopping magical!
Natureworks is a very magical place, inside and out. I hope you can stop by and pick up some Thanksgiving flowers, candles, and gifts and then return over the weekend to celebrate 31 years of Shopping Small. It’s going to be fun!
 See you soon…
