MAY 17, 2012 UPDATE:
This is the week of vegetable seedling deliveries and most have come in. Nearly all customer orders have been filled except for those requesting a few crops we are still waiting for.
Most of you will be contacted by end of day Thursday. However those orders that won't be completed until the other crops arrive next week will be contacted around May 25th.
All remaining seedlings have been placed on the benches for sales to the general public. Please come in to see what is available since the inventory changes every minute. We've ordered lots of extras since we know some folks prefer to choose the plants themselves.
Whether you've placed an order or are choosing your plants from the sales benches, feel free to ask us for fertilizer, stakes, tomato cages or other materials you'll need when planting your vegetable garden. You'll see these items for sale inside the shop as well as outside.
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THESE INCREDIBLE EDIBLES!

At Natureworks, we LOVE TO GROW FOOD! Many of our employees have extensive vegetable gardens and are always happy to share their experience with you.

We proudly offer organically grown and certified tomato, pepper, eggplant, squash, cucumber, lettuce, and many other vegetable seedlings each spring. Customers are urged to reserve their plants in advance *(many varieties sell out quickly and never make it onto our retail benches as they are pulled for orders). Along with vegetable plants, we also list small fruits such as raspberries and blueberries, certified organic gourmet seed potatoes, asparagus roots, and unusual edibles such as Jerusalem artichokes. In late summer, we offer seedlings of “second season” late vegetables such as kale, broccoli, lettuce, radicchio, and much more. To view the archives showing previous plant descriptions, click here.
Natureworks carries many lines of vegetable, flower, and herb seeds. Many of our seed racks are certified organic and we never sell treated seed. We proudly stock open pollinated varieties.
We are leaders in organic gardening in the state of CT, having been organic since our inception in 1983. We supplement our plant and seed offerings with organic fertilizers, mineral powders, potting soil, composts, and mulches. We offer free workshops during the spring and later summer seasons to teach you how to plan and grow your vegetable garden.
